Techniques of Business Management
A Course Via E-Mail

Course Name: Techniques of Business Management
Instructor: Robert Moskowitz, author of "How To Organize Your Work and Your Life," and Managing Partner of Crown Communications Group, a management consultancy in Los Angeles.

Course Description: This is an eight week course in business management that focuses on practical realities of organizational and project leadership.

Students will learn how to:

  • Set goals and priorities
  • Plan projects
  • Establish budgets
  • Maximize personal results and achievements
  • Set work objectives for and with subordinates
  • Delegate responsibilities
  • Evaluate themselves and their subordinates
  • Build their department's or organization's level of success

Students who complete the course will be able to manage a group of 2 to 20 workers, and work closely with them over several months or longer to complete a specific project or achieve a designated performance goal without guidance or direction from superiors. This course should significantly enhance the career capabilities and potential level of managerial achievement for those who successfully complete it.

The course is given as a "self study" course, which means during the eight week period we simply exchange files, which you can review at your leisure. You deliver your homework, and make your comments, ask questions, etc. via email, and I reply the same way. This means conflicting schedules are a thing of the past. You can cover the material and do the work whenever it is convenient for you. I'll give you more details on how it works after you sign up.

Thanks for your interest. Hope to see you in virtual class.

I really appreciated the lesson on delegating work. I realized I had not delegated work properly and was doing most of the work myself. I'm glad I took this course!

I just had to write to tell you what a difference this online course (Business Management) is making in my work and in my life. The principles seem so simple, yet applied in a systematic manner, are making a huge difference for me. My work is more productive, I am much more organized, and I am thrilled to note that I was already on the right track with several things.

I want to thank you for this course. I am finding the information invaluable. I only wish I had found this course when I was in my former "job from hell" as the office manager of ..... I may have actually survived the staff resentment.

I loved some of your time saving techniques!! I feel like I am a slave to the telephone...and being the nice guy I hate to end a call. I also like some of your meeting suggestions. I'll certainly put them to use.
